Välkommen till Reengardas Scriptorium!

En helg för att diskuterar, praktiserar och lär varandra om "scrollar" (scrollar är vårt "diplom", ofta med vackra kalligrafi och illuminering).

Vad sker då under Scriptorium?

Lördag, under dagen har vi workshop, diskussion, och en chans att testa göra egen. På kvällen blir det gemensam knytis i dräkt. Det går inte att övernatta i lokalen, men det finns säkert plats hos reengardingar om man behöver en plats att sova på.

Va ska man ta med?

Om du redan har egna verktyg till kalligrafi och/eller illuminering, ta gärna det med. Annars gå det att låna.

Medeltidskläder, mat till knytkalas, "feast gear" (något att äta med och dricka ur), och kanske ett projekt

Kostnad:

Gratis inträde, ta med något till knytkalas. Om du vill bidra med ett symboliskt belopp till kostnaden för platsen, kommer tillfället till det att anordnas.

Reengarda (Skellefteå's Medieval Society) invites one and all to our Scriptorium.

This is a weekend weekend workshop for Calligraphy and Illumination. Come join us in discussions on how we make "scrolls" (fancy written, usually decorated documents), and give it a try yourself.

Schedule

Saturday: day one of the workshop, with a potluck feast in the evening. During the feast please wear "an attempt" at pre-1600 clothing. It is not possible to sleep on site, but people traveling here from further away can stay in a home with one of our members.

Sunday: day two of the workshop.

What to bring:

If you have your own pens, ink, or other tools for calligraphy and/or illumination, feel free to bring it. Some supplies will be available for loan.

A contribution to the potluck! Everyone attending the event is requested to come wearing clothing in a style from before the year 1600, but it is up to you which style and how accurate you wish to be. If you need help making a costume, or wish to borrow one, please contact us at Nyborjare@reengarda.se.

Cost: Free entry, but bring a contribution to the pot luck. If you would like to make a small donation to the cost of the site, that can be arranged.
